Join Health Education in supporting victims and survivors of sexual assault by wearing denim on Denim Day, which was created from a court case that released a perpetrator of sexual assault based on the victim’s clothing.

Jennifer Ross-Nazzal “explores how careers for women at the Johnson Space Center have changed over the last fifty years as … fields once close to women … began to open.” She is the historian at Johnson Space Center and editor of the anthology Making Space for Women (2022). This event is free and open to all.

Come out and celebrate the end of the semester with live music featuring Dende, who has more than 230,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. This event is free for students. The Center for History and Culture of Southeast Texas and the Upper Gulf Coast and the City of Beaumont will host a screening event featuring Apollo 13 at the Jefferson Theatre. Before the film, Dr. Jennifer Ross-Nazzal (Johnson Space Center historian) will speak on “Apollo 13 from Earth: Inside Mission Control and the Race to Bring the Crew Home.”

The Office of Study Abroad is now accepting study abroad course proposals for 2024-2025 faculty-led study abroad programs. Workshops to assist faculty in creating study abroad programs and putting together a proposal will be held on the following dates: April 23, 24, 30; May 1, 7, 8, 14, and 15.
